If I support the idea that in some way my current life is a consequence of my previous life, and that my next life will be a consequence of my current life, then I'll probably come back as dog conceived on the streets and adopted just hours before I'm to be euthanized. I say that for two reasons. One, because I feel I've cheated death at least once in my current life (a little deep and dark for this post, I know, sorry) which might carry over to my next life and two, because I'm such a sucker for pleasing people, even to the point that it hinders my well-being. You know, a typical dog.
Unless your dog has gone through some sort of sustained, traumatic, event early in her life, most likely she is a people pleaser. She greets you at the door when you come home, she fetches the frisbee when asked to do so (or at least wags her tail as if she understands that you're the one that's supposed to be doing the fetching, but that's not her fault), she sits when you ask her to sit, and with a little practice maybe it's possible that she'll perform party tricks to impress other house guests. She doesn't care if you skipped out on that meeting at work, if you slacked off in class, if you never donate money to charity, or if you still live with your parents at the age of 33 - she loves you!
I'm bred to be a people pleaser, which, obviously is preparing me for my next life as a dog.
